Frank. Lloyd. Wright. Need I say more?

The Marin Center broke ground on 1960 after Wright had died. but it carries his style everywhere. It is an old building and it looks it, but it is beautiful inside and out. I had to go to traffic court there and had a great time admiring all the details that are still preserved. Great building, a must see for... More

There were no lines to wade through at Will Call. The Box Office staff were kind and courteous. The lines to the Bar were about 5 deep, so not too bad. The ushers pointed us to our row and told us about how far in our seats were. We were in row 18, a short distance from the center seat... More

Interesting architecture, a lake to walk around, and a library dome. Very enjoyable, especially for a government building.

Loved the visit, wish I could have stayed longer to visit the art gallery on third floor or taken advantage of the trails from the fourth floor outdoor space.

Very quiet center with a library and beautiful view from the top of building. Has a very nice pool on top of roof.

The building houses county of Marin courts, the county jail, the Main Library for Marin County, and many other attractions, including the Marin County Fairgrounds. It is an eye catcher as people drive past with a great view from Hwy. 101, but If you drive up to the building, you will be astounded at the subtle variations to the structure.... More

We have so few Frank Lloyd Wright buildings on the west coast, but this is probably the largest and one of the most spectacular. But to get the most from it, after you walk its halls and see the garden (or take the $5 docent-led tour, given Wednesdays at 10:30, leaving from the second floor cafe), drive out Lucas Valley... A marvel of architecture, our Civic Center is so special that they conduct docent tours. Along with all the Marin County offices, we have a library there... as well as a cafeteria that has both indoor and outside dining.

As wonderful as the FLW building is, don't miss taking a look at the heroic bronze sculpture by Joseph Jacinto "Jo" Mora (1876-1947) of The Doughboy on the Avenue of the Americas. This is a wonderful memorial to the veterans of WWI and is worth seeking out. The artist went through full training for the Great War only to have... More

Been here many times for many different things. The building is designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and is unique. This is where we go for county court, for flea markets, for the fairgrounds, exhibits, etc.
