Great Little Zoo

This is a great little Zoo, Enough to see to be interesting, but not so much that the kids or adults got board. Great stop for several hours.

We used to go here every weekend because it is such a beautiful place to wander around. Little ones can ride the train, an animal-themed merry-go-round and an elephant! And this is all in the city. It was a little hard to find this place but so worth finding and visiting. And be prepared to buy an annual pass because... More

We love a good zoo but this one sadly is quite faded. No clear signs to show you how to navigate, enclosures that are half empty, and when full have very little diversity. It needs a makeover and more animals of greater variety. Badly.

Everything about this zoo is great! Well kept, animals look happy and it's a great price to get in. Worth to buy the yearly pass.

The Santa Ana Zoo is a small zoo but has a lot of Monkeys. While it is small, we had season passes for a couple of years because the little ones love the train and carousel and also the little play park they have inside. It doesn't take long to get around the zoo but the kids have fun running... More

This is a nice enough little zoo, and it's very popular with families. It's easy to see why...it's kid-sized and most enclosures are fairly small so the animals are easy to see. The foundation of the zoo is its extensive monkey collection and they can be a lot of noisy fun. The rest of the zoo is a mix of... More

I have two young sons and one bad back. The Santa Ana zoo is the perfect size, as far as I'm concerned. I was able to walk all over the park with my boys, go on the train (NOT recommended for people with bad lower backs; I won't go on it again), and see every attraction in a few hours.... More

I had already lowered my expectations prior to visiting because of online reviews. In general, this is an old, tired little zoo, mainly populated by monkeys in wire cages. There was a walk-thru tropical avian exhibit which had nice plants but woefully few birds. One high point was the open air giant anteater area. And, our granddaughter's favorite was the... More

Best kept secret in Orange County. A fabulous place for families, adults, going solo. Enjoy a wonderful place to escape the daily grind. There are lovely places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Go For lunch! Knowlwood serves up great food for purchase. Enjoy the animals, exhibits, train ride, and a new Ferris Wheel is being built. Children's zoo area... More
