Enjoyed a presentation and about a Japanese panel titled 10 Friends depicting flowers and then ate some foods with edible flowers in and on them and had some teas to go along. Very interesting exhibit, as well.

We didn't realize only about 1/3 of the museum was open due to the extensive earthquake retrofitting. It didn't take more than 1/2 hour to see the two or three rooms that were open (and that included the docent's "tour").

Famous artists on exhibit. Exhibition rotates about every 8 weeks. Saw works by Van Gogh, Monet, Grandma Moses, etc. Lovely way to spend a few hours. Also a very nice gift shop with unique items.

Santa Barbara's art museum is impressive for a small town. The temporary exhibits in particular are very strong. Exceptional cafe.

Great location for walking State Street, this is an important SB institution. Collections range from the traditional and the contemporary and is always a great stop on your walk. The museum shops is also nice.

It’s a good, small museum, but hardly a “must see”. Santa Barbara is a beautiful town. Your time will be better spent outdoors enjoying the sea breezes, gardens and views.
