Beautifully designed gardens with tiled water elements. I think of the house as a miniature Hearst Castle, many of the ceilings and doors came from Europe. The whole property is charming.

We had a memorable time visiting Casa del Herero, which is a short drive from downtown Santa Barbara. The house is a wonderful example of Spanish Colonial Revival, the grounds are beautiful and the man behind both is a fascinating story in itself.
