We had a memorable time visiting Casa del Herero, which is a short drive from downtown Santa Barbara. The house is a wonderful example of Spanish Colonial Revival, the grounds are beautiful and the man behind both is a fascinating story in itself.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 1.5 hour tour. The mansion and grounds provided a unique glimpse into the life of this wealthy family. Not often one is able to see original furnishings still present. If you're so lucky to have Lynda as your docent, even better.

Led by an excellent docent, our tour was exactly 90 minutes long. To the minute. The interior of the home is full of notable European art and clever, subtle icons made by the owner. The gardens are beautiful and the final stop at the end...More
