The first thing that I found weird is that cars are allowed to drive down the pier and park on the end which kind a destroys the elegance of taking a walk on the pier. But I guess there is insufficient space to provide a...More

Lots to see and do on the wharf, shops, candy store, ice creamery, wine tasting and wine bar, restaurants. We loved it. You can sit looking back at the whole of Santa Barbara from the roof top wine bar. Blissful.

After our Trolley ride, decided to take a long walk on the Wharf. It was a nice walk on a sunny day. It was great and the view was wonderful. Even though it was late March, the Wharf was packed.

We totally missed that they had free parking on the wharf so we parked on the street (a short walk away). It was beautiful and everyone was friendly. We did see some homeless people walking around but never were approached or felt threatened.

There used to be "no fishing" signs which were not enforced. Now there are signs for designated fishing areas. I believe that there is no overhead casting. . .for the sake of fellow visitors, I imagine. There is a bait... More
