An adorable little arcade full of art, restaurants, shops and a turtle pond. My favorite stop is always the bronze statues and the best shop in my opinion is the ecclectic store with the "windo Washer" bronze. And right around the corner is Andersen's Danish...More

Small children will be interested in the working sculptures, as indeed adults will be. The turtles are also interesting to watch.

Surprise! The fellow that looks like he is cleaning the window isn’t real. But let him lure you from State Street into the courtyard. Have someone take your photo sitting next to a bronze Ben Franklin. Then peak into the art gallery on the corner...More

La Arcada is an old Santa Barbara standard consisting of an outdoor walkway with sculptures, a host of sidewalk cafes and handful unique shops. The highlight was a fountain full of turtles in front of Viva restaurant. Great stop when on a walk through downtown...More

The Arcada has several restaurants and also terrific "little shops! Le Petite Valtien, Jenines and the other restaurants are all delightful for different reasons.

La Arcada was built in 1926. Today it's like a pretty outdoor mall with tile-lined walkways, fountains, sidewalk cafes and sculptures. The highlight was a fountain full of turtles.

This courtyard is right off State and has some touristy kitsch (bronze window washer, etc) but a good and dense array of tasting room, art gallery, coffee shop, 5 restaurnants, etc.

A historic paseo on State street, with something for everyone. Interesting statues, shops, food, and of course, the turtles in the fountain!

Okay to walk through and browse. Nothing special otherwise. A couple of restaurants with lots of noise. The fountain with the turtles is a good place to rest and relax.

Had to go and visit the turtles, although there didn't seem to be as many this time, and the restaurant has roped off part of the turtles fountain, so you couldn't walk around it. The arcade looks gorgeous at night with the lights on too.
