Beautifully presented fresh, organic fruit, veges, flowers, nuts, honey, olive oil, meat, fish and cheese. Biggest juiciest blackberries and peaches I have ever seen! Bought a small selection for a picnic seeing as I am a visitor, loved the free samples and wandering around. Well...More

3 blocks of food and some flowers and nuts, cheese, honey, pies and bread. Pretty crowded on Tuesday 4-7:30 this month on state street. Street performers on the sidewalk. Plenty of dogs tagging along.

We loved the Farmers Market! Two long blocks closed off to cars, lined with stalls selling fresh and often organic produce. The vendors were often the farmers themselves who lived in the surrounding area; talking to them really gave us a taste of life in...More

It is tomato heaven right now. Whether perfect slicing tomatoes or "over ripe" reduced price for sauces, these are the best tomatoes in the country. Flowers are so lush right now. Cool Saturday mornings or cool Tuesday evenings. It is all good.

Been to many a farmer's market and this one is impressive. Being in mid California it attracts vendors from as far away as Fresno. The fruit and produce were abundant. There is also fish, honey, baked goods and flowers. Very popular with the locals.

The Santa Barbara farmers market is amazing. We stumbled upon it one day. You don't need to live in town to enjoy strolling the booths. Perfect place to put together an impromptu picnic or pick up soaps. A great way to see the local scene.

We had just finished a food tour of Santa Barbara and stumbled upon the farmers market. What amazing products. The strawberries were so ripe. The vegetables were so fresh. I guess I am tainted because, being from New York, none of these products are available...More

We visited the market on State street three consecutive weeks. Vendors were lined for two blocks. Being from the east, we don't get oranges picked the day before or the other yummy goods during winter. Some of the best tomatoes and beautiful flowers ever. I...More

Friendly people, its located in the middle of downtown so very convenient. The fruit and veggies are very pricey but definitely worth the quality and flavor. Its mostly farmed in SB county so some veggies will depend on its season and weather.

Lots of variety, friendly producers and a selection of musicians. Some seasonal specialities and always a wide variety of staples, plants and flowers. Bring your market basket and fill it up.

I was referring to the Saturday morning Downtown market. The Tuesday downtown market which is on State St is open 4-7:30 in the summer and 3 pm to 6:30pm in the winter.
