We were traveling through on our way to San Jose. As soon as we drove just a few blocks downtown (Pacific Ave) I knew I wanted to park and walk around. So glad we did! Parking was a piece of cake. (You do need quarters...More

Not that exciting. A bunch of chain stores and generic surf shops. Lots of food choices, but nothing that appealing. Like much in Santa Cruz, a bit dirty. There is a great ice cream shop if you are there -- Penny's.

Nice downtown, lots of stores, good food, but many many homeless patrons, asking for spare change. Ate at a sidewalk restaurant, food was reasonable priced and tasty .

Lots of great shops with lots of unique resturants. Good way to spend an afternoon or morning after/before the beach area. Also dog friendly. It is a typical West coast town with unique strret performers but also some homeless on the streets.

Tons of restaurants and shops to visit and explore. Overall, we weren't super impressed with Santa Cruz. Great place to surf but not a ton of other fun places to check out

Trendy shops, lovely hospitality, good restaurants. Not a lot of shops but a fun few hours so worth a trip, was an easy walk from our hotel.

Lots of action in bustling downtown Santa Cruz. Tons of cute little stores for shopping and places to eat or grab coffee....many coffee shops! Parking is tough. Ended up parking at Trader Joe's since we had to do some shopping there anyway 😬. Great place...More
