twin lakes beach is great to have a bonfire at in the evening and picnic at- I like to flyn my kites there. it's usually hard to find a parking place- but worth the effort to go and be at.

This is a pleasant stretch of beach adjacent to East Cliff, big enough to accommodate lots of visitors on a sunny day. There appears to be a fair amount of surf for surfers, plus stretches where swimmers can safely swim between buoys. It's pretty clean,...More

Twin Lakes is a smaller beach area, adjacent to the Santa Cruz Harbor. Currently, they are building a boardwalk and trying to improve parking. Not sure when it will re-open.

Local hangout on the beach not tending to be crowded or touristy. Just a good spot to hang out and chill out.

We did an overnighter on a Saturday; our hotel was less than two blocks from the beach. We walked the beach first thing in the morning and took a stroll to get some coffee. In the evening we watched the sun go down. It was...More

We went to Twin Lakes State Beach. Its a pretty park by the Paciic Ocean. In the evening, people were having camp fires. Everyone seems to have a good time here.

We like coming to this beach when we come to Santa Cruz because it is lively but not to crowded. There are volleyball games often. The harbor is right next to it and you can rent a kayak or SUP. The restaurants nearby just make...More
