This small museum has quite a bit of history to show. With full size planes and lots of models. Aviation history started with Capt. Alan Hancock and the role Santa Maria played in training WWII pilots. Well worth a visit for an afternoon.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure all questions were answered. The museum is has a lot of model and real replica aircrafts. A few hollywood movies have made use of these models. A must visit in Santa Maria.

The Santa Maria Museum of Flight is a small, privately run aviation museum. While they have limited space, they pack quite a few planes in, including some from movies, along with a large airplane diecast collection. Mr. Bailey (his first name was Merv, I think),...More

A small museum at the Santa Maria airport with displays of current and older models of aircraft. The most interesting fact is where some of the Norton bomb sights mechanisms were kept. It was a real surprise.

Frank is correct - just buy at the counter - it's fairly small, so you do not need advance tickets
