Having travelled across America we got to Santa Monica after 17 days and we're ready for some English type food. We got what we asked for Sunday roast and Chicken Tikka with half rice half chips and Stella. The whole experience was great from start to finish good service good food and good beer. I was surprised how many Americans... More

We visited for our evening meal and had very tasty meals, served by friendly staff, in a very busy but enjoyable restaurant. We had the Salmon, served with rice and tender stem broccoli, and a Chicken & Mushroom Pie, served with chips, broccoli and carrots. Both meals were delicious, reasonably priced with good size portions, and are therefore highly recommended.

I met an old friend here while I was in the area. He had never been here either and we both had a great time and really good meal. I had the fish & chips which was delicious. He had the salmon. It's nice have British pub food in the U.S. that authentic. The décor brings you back to an... More

So ashamed to admit to visiting a Brits pub during our honeymoon in California from the UK... but we had a really good evening here. Only stayed for drinks so can't comment on the food. Staff were lovely, great atmosphere.

Instead of taking a flight out of town, opted for a pub experience in santa monica. The atmostphere with the fireplace bar and decor was deliciously english. I took my english friend to complete the experience. She loved the pastry shop in the back and we had the shepherds pie and curry. Pricing was very reasonable, the staff was helpful... More

Bloody Hell! What's happened to Ye Olde Kings Head? This was our old standby for incredible fish & chips along with other pub grub. Today was, instead, an incredible disappointment in so many ways. It still retains its pub atmosphere, and we were greeted warmly by our server Christine. Then the food went all to hell... The clam chowder was... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
