We have tried surfing on the east coast and what a difference. We invested in a instructor and Joe was the best. We learned a lot and had fun. All of us had a great day. You should try this if you are in the...More
Had a great morning surfing with Nick & Bronwyn. They got most of us up on our surf boards first time, very keen to see us succeed. The guys were great and did a good job of raising awareness of the issues our ocean face.
If you decide to book online - tick the option to pay in cash on the day. That way when the instructor doesn't turn up you have only wasted an hour of your time and $10 parking. Very upset 10 year old!
Never surfed before! Amazing teacher! The water was beautiful, the waves were small (good thing for a beginner) i got up and rode a wave (once) and had an amazing time - sunshine, beautiful water, surfboard - doesn't get any better! Great experience!! going again!
My daughter and her friend wanted to try surfing so I decided to try too after a chat with our instructor and we had a 2 hour lesson with Matthew. He was brilliant, quickly got us into the water after initial technique and safety advice...More
I can't remember my instructor's name :( Which is awful, because he was great! He showed me the basics on the sand, then we headed into the water. Surfing is terrifying and exhilarating. There were a few moments I was scared out of my mind....More

Having never surfed before, this was the best way to experience it for the first time.

Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller
coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
