We spent a long time here enjoying the view, tasting the wines, joining the club, ordering wine, and finding other treasures. This is a great place to go, and the wines do not disappoint. I even bought a few maps like their's and framed them so I could be reminded of the day.

During our vacation we planned 1 day of winetastings. One of the winetastings we did was at Matanzas Creek. Happy we went there! It is beautifully located. Unfortunately the lavender was not blooming, but still it was a very nice area. It was quiet which we actually enjoyed. Next to wine we are cheese lovers as well, so we decided... More

My research suggested it was beautiful and had lots of lavender fields but there was nothing (yes, there's a huge drought but it just didn't live up to the hype). To top it off, the wine wasn't very good. Saving grace - picnic tables. We had packed lunches and got to eat them under big trees with hanging globes.

Beautiful setting nestled in large, gnarly old trees surrounded by lavender fields. Tasting room overlooks Bennet Valley and we enjoyed our tastings out on the patio on a comfy bench where our dog was welcome. We purchased the Merlot and Cab and also the Chardonnay. Also purchased some lavender lotion as this is their second biggest seller next to the... More

The Matanzas Creek Winery is a bit off the beaten track, but well worth the visit. The setting is both gorgeous and peaceful. Sit on one of their decks and enjoy the wine.

This Winery is located in a nice Valley and outdoor areas are very nice, something different what you are normally used to with wineries. Winery seems to be very popular so if you mind that there is plenty of others with you then this is place to stop.

I wish the lavender was in bloom as it would have made this rating a bit higher. Their sauvignon blanc and merlot were good but the staff was a bit off this day. Beautiful grounds to walk around, again wish the lavender was in bloom.

Nice tasting room located in a picturesque location. Wine was just average. I liked the Chardonnay. The tasting fee was waived with the purchase of one bottle. Good service.

Disappointed that we missed this winery on our last visit to Sonoma, this time, we made Matanzas Creek Winery our first stop. The views are spectacular with gorgeous lavender fields, and then there's the wine...even better. Judy was fascinating and spent a ton of time with us, answering a multitude of questions. It's easy to get lost in the hows... More
