Although this is an urban, man-made lake, it feels more wild and private than most. When you are on the trial around the lake, it mostly feels like you are in a more private space. Paddle boarding here is great, especially for beginners. The lake is quiet and I often am the only one out there. Adjacent and connected by... More

There is enough space for walker, runner, and bikers to share the road on this well maintained trail around the lake. It's also what I would consider the perfect distance, about two and a half miles. You can finish a fast passed walk in half an hour. There is also good shade throughout.

Spring lake is a hidden gem. The walking trails have something for everyone - flat paved path to more adventurous trails in the hills. Nice bathrooms. The swimming pond is great for the kids. Plenty of parking.

The trail around the lake is mainly flat, but only partially paved. There are lots of benches to take a rest and have nice views of the lake.

Plenty to do here. Barbeque and picnic tables, reservations strongly recommended. "Swimming hole" for staying cool. Lifeguards on duty. Fish or paddle boat out on the lake. Go for a hike--Annadel State Park adjoins Spring Lake. Go for a bike ride. It can get crowded, and sometimes you have to deal with people who lack social skills, but, overall, a... More

Many people use the Spring Lake Trails for walking and riding their bikes. Almost everyone is friendly. When our dog was younger (She is 13 years now), I would walk her there several times a week. People are often inclined to stop and talk for a short time. Those riding bicycles are careful. The last time I took my grandchildren... More
