Wonderful place to walk & people watch

This large park has miles of walking paths around the reservoir, dog friendly (on leash) and a fantastically wide assortment of people which makes the people watching really fun.

Yesterday my son took me on a hike through Trione-Annadel Park - it was terrific. I definitely enjoy the outdoors and I don't know how I've missed this treasure of a Sonoma County resource. I won't lie - there is some steep elevation changes that will challenge your physical condition but getting to the top is absolutely worth the efforts.... More

Great park that can be accessed from Spring Lake or further down the road. Watch out for the poison oak! Great hiking only minutes from town.

This is a beautiful park with lots of wonderful trails for all levels of hiking. Come with your bike if that's your interest. You can hike or bike to the top of Mt. Bennett if you like, which has wonderful views of Bennett Valley, and on a clear day, all,the way to Mt. Diablo. Bring water and food.

So much to see and do. Great family spot.Nestled in the middle of the city of Santa Rosa. Great playground, and in the summer months, a train ride, and the paddle boats, and horseback riding for the kids, and adults.

so often people need to drive long distances to find what santa rosa and sonoma county residents can enjoy with just a short drive . . . or walk in some cases . . . since moving to santa rosa in 1977, my family and i have enjoyed walks at annadel state park . . . we live within a... More

I moved to Sonoma county in part because it had a place like Annadel S.P. (now called Trione-Annadel State Park). It adjoins Howarth Park and together they offer hiking, biking, riding, swimming, picnicking, and camping. The natural setting is spectacular and is everything from casual to strenuous. Pay particular attention to heat in the summer and sharing some of the... More

I love to bring my horse to Annadal. I have gone many times. The bicyclists are usually respectful of trail riders. The views are amazing. The trails are kept up and easy to manage. I like that there is water for the horses at the trail head and plenty of parking for trailers. There are bathrooms half way through the... More

Almost 23 years ago we found this park. It was a favorite for hiking, just us two, especially when there wasn't time to head out to Bodega Headlands, which was usually the way for the 14 years we lived in Santa Rosa. It was also the place we'd bring visiting family. There are plenty of trails, part in shade, part... More

Great trails with some elevation gain and then covering 8,000 acres of ridge top in the middle of Sonoma County.
