We reached Sausalito in the morning and pretty interested to cover the major attractions. Visitor center guide helped us with the map explaining the must see places and how to reach each point. Appreciate the help. Must visit!!!

Very helpful. Gave us all the information we needed before we even had to ask. Friendly and efficient. I wish all visitor centre's around the world were so good. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

Lots to do across the bay from San Francisco and the Visitor's Center is a great place to start. Friendly folks with lots of brochures, pamphlets, maps and up to date information. You'll plan out your trip right with minimal zig zags and backtracking. ...

Lovely little village, very popular and crowded, had the best sandwiches at the Bakery for lunch. BLT and Chicken Pesto both excellent.

A cute, relaxing, slightly pretentious getaway from San Francisco. We biked across the bridge and did the "bike valet". Restaurant selection can be limited and many places only take cash (there are a Bank of America and a few other ATMs around). If taking a...More

It was quite disappointing to see the visitor center to be closed on a weekday afternoon. The town is good to take a walk around and see some nice yachts but nothing so great as hyped

A small area with interesting historical photos and an old gramophone. They were most helpful and provided excellent advice.

We did enjoy Sausalito however did find it expensive to park etc and do think it is this way to get money from tourists. I would recommend but take the change to feed the parking machines.

Can you walk to Sausalito from the the GGB from the San Francisco side? We plan on walking across the bridge and then into town. Can it be done? Or do we need to take a bus or bike? Please advise. Thanks.

You would be better off renting bicycles and riding across the bridge. The bridge is no short walk. Then you would still need to walk further to get to Sausilito and then have the energy to walk around and enjoy yourself and... More
