Friendly staff with lots of great ideas and tips. Any trip to San Fran should include Sausalito. Lovely township right on the harbour. Not a cheap place to stay (unless you have a great budget) so stay in SF and make a day trip across the GG Bridge instead. A cross between an arts community and fishing village. Lots of... More

This is a teeny little building in the middle of town, but they've managed to pack a lot of information and help in this little package. There were two very nice and helpful ladies staffed in the front room who offered maps and advice about Sausalito, but mostly we just wandered the back room looking at the mini-exhibits. I hadn't... Its an easy, quick spot to hit...if in town, give it a go - right on Bridgeway, just in front of some pretty fantastic boats....er, ships! You'll love this area!

We arrived at Sausalito over the Golden Great Bridge, the town is small but warm and friendly with lovely little individual shops and restaurants. We took the ferry back to San Francisco back to the Ferry Terminal. A great way to spend a few hours in a more relaxed atmosphere.

HOW CAN I PUT PHOTOS ON HERE?? The lady at the information Center told us about the interesting area and the pretty floating homes which were amazing. We decided to look around the town first and call there on our way back to Oakland. This is a very pretty place, we wandered around the interesting shops . Who would have... More

Well don't grab your bike for a fun ride in a quaint town. There are another 100 bike riders with the same idea. Careful driving. The bikers pass cars on the left and the right. Beautiful views of the water.

The person onsite was very helpful and very excited about sharing places to see and things to do, she shared historical info and the amazing floating houses, mapped out places, I told her she glowed from joy of sharing her hometown.
