We spent a morning in this beautiful area across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Lovely weather contributed to a leisurely walk along the main boardwalk taking in the pretty colourful buildings and the views across the bay. Plenty of eateries and shops open on a Sunday morning and parking is plentiful.

The Sausalito Boardwalk is so cute. There are lots of shops open, even on a Sunday and there are plenty of food choices. We first stopped at the Sausalito Bakery for a quick early bite! Everything was delish. Then we walked around and bought some jewelry at the Prince Edward Estate shop. Then we had a reservation for a late lunch at Scoma’s. Our table was inside but by a window overlooking the bay. We even saw a cute seal poke its head up. I will definitely go back. It’s also a quick drive over the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco. Breathtaking views.

Sausalito is just beautiful. Helped that weather was glorious on day of visit. Great selection of shops an eateries, equally so the views of Alcatraz and San Francisco. Well worth a morning or afternoon visit.

Never go to Frisco without taking the ferry to Saucilito. Really lovely place to saunter around with twee little cafe's and boutique shops. Just siton a bench and admire the views of Alcatraz and Frisco

We spent an afternoon in a very pleasant way, walking around the harbor and admiring the boats. We also enjoyed a delicious Italian coffee and ate tasty Italian food at the Taste of Rome restaurant. It is a very beautiful and charming town.
