Peaceful and well maintained mission. It's smaller and less informative than mission San Jose but definitely worth a drop in, if you're in Solvang. The staff gave us helpful instructions and a map for the self-guided tour. The gardens are pretty and a good place...More

A beautiful piece of California history! This place is well preserved and a great place to tour. The view from the parking lot is also amazing as it looks out over the valley below.

Just east of Solvang on rte 246, I find this one of the best of the California missions I have visited. It is still a working church, which I think adds to its aura of peace and tranquility. The beautiful church interior and sanctuary are...More

This is one of the better "preserved" missions. Everything is in terrific condition, particularly compared some of the other missions. It sits on the top of a hill looking down a picturesque valley. It also sits at the end of a long string of tourist-trap...More

Very educational. The self guided tour of the church and grounds is well done. Very beautiful church painting, etc., and lovely garden.

We were walking around Solvang and decided to stop by the Mission to look around. We didn't take the tour, but just walking around the grounds immersed you in the history of the place.

Great break from wine tasting and shopping. Self-guided tour but the signs make it easy to navigate. Be prepared to spend at least an hour here.

The tour is a good value. They have a collection of original vestments. The narration is informative. Unlike some other missions, this is an active church. Very enjoyable.

The grounds are well maintained and the views of the surrounding countryside are worth the visit. There are old ruins of water reservoirs and bathing and washing areas. There appears top be very little of the original mission left, just some arches.

i'm not sure. In the areas we went it was ground floor or pathways and the doors were wide enough. My suggestion would be to call and check to know for sure though.
