Warm and cozy! Great book shop for kids. For me, it was a walk back to my childhood, where Hans Christian Andersen books were special. They still are today, and this place has a good variety of versions as well as other great books for families. Order a latte and browse the bookshop with it, as well as the free... More

Though only a small upstairs part of the bookstore, the "museum" does inform much about Hans Christian Anderson -- especially concerning the women he loved but could not marry.

The "museum" is a very small collection of homemade poster boards and some original publications of Anderson's in a display case. The bookstore and adjacent coffee shop are lovely but one should not expect a true museum at all.

This museum brings back childhood memories where we have read all those wonderful stories by HCA. A large collection of his books are displayed. Small but very nice place.

Upstairs from the Book Loft (a great bookstore) is the free Hans Christian Andersen Museum, populated by items from a benefactor. Andersen was Danish, and the first settlers of Solvang were of Danish descent, thus the connection. There are many old HCA books and several interpretive panels talking about his life and works. I was especially interested in his interesting... More

This is a book store with a small museum for Hans Christian Anderson. It is a fun place to browse around and the little coffee shop downstairs in great. The coffee itself is great and the staff are super helpful and friendly.
