Driving through Sonoma Valley is lovely. The wineries on the hills look out over the vineyards and there are plenty of wineries to explore.

Beautiful area to drive through and of course, many good wineries to enjoy a tasting. Traffic was minimal and signs were clear.

Ha! Just a joke from our friendly valley to valley (Sonoma to Napa) rivalry. But really, why deal with the hustle and bustle of Napa Valley when you can enjoy the laid back friendly folks in Sonoma. We have great wine, great food and prettier...More

Great parks, lots of family activities, very good spot for foodies, not to mention incredible wine, excellent hotel options - we always opt for the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. Napa is a short drive, and just feels the old California. Love it.

From Sonoma's town square all the way north to the tip of the Dry Creek Valley - don't miss Ferrari Carano Vineyards - this is a magical wine & nature paradise. Cheers, my friends!!

The Sonoma town square has several tasting rooms that could give you a better idea of what vineyards to visit and it's a worthwhile destination in its own rite.

We stayed in an Airbnb just outside the city. Beautiful view of the valley and vineyard next door. Local host with good suggestions for the area. Quiet relaxing option
