This historic winery is just a short 5-minute drive from Sonoma Plaza. It is the oldest commercial winery in California. You park your car and stroll through beautifully landscaped grounds to the Press House tasting room. There is a picnic area to relax and enjoy a bit. The Press House is a beautiful high-ceiling tasting room with lots of space.... More

The winery was amazing and very different from the others we visited. The place is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend a visit to the bubble room.

Buena Vista was one of our favorites in Sonoma offering wonderful wines and beautiful grounds in a very historical building. We enjoyed reading the history of this winery on our way up. I would definitely recommend,

We visited this particular winery because it was the oldest and most convenient. It is free to go and just look around however we did not do the tour due to time. That maybe cost extra. Also if you want to do any samples it costs extra. We each had a flight and the bartender explained each type to us... More

Where do I begin? Ok, how about Champagne? Yes, it can be classified as champagne as its imported from France by BV. Beautiful surroundings and a true work of art! So much of France here made me feel as if I were actually in France!! Not to mention the staff were incredible and professional. Would visit again and again.

Went on a tour with 5 of my girlfriends for a birthday weekend and had Spencer as our tour guide. We had so much fun going to all the different rooms they have (champagne room, mixing room - you can blend your very own wine type and they will bottle for you to take home for a fee of course,... What a place! We started off the tour with some character acting and a historic walk about. Pretty traditional, walking, tasting, and some breadsticks along the way. The staff is informative, friendly, and most important PATIENT! Then they took us upstairs to the wine museum. WHOA... they they bring you back downstairs and into the CHAMPAGNE TASTING ROOM. This place... More

Founded in 1857, Buena Vista Winery lays claim to being California’s first ‘premium’ winery. The historic stone buildings have been restored, and today they incorporate a winery museum, and a retail store. In addition to the historic buildings and grounds, characters in period costume sometimes wander about to enhance the illusion of being drawn back in time to the late... More

This winery has changed quite a bit since my first visit many years ago. We had the bubble room experience with Amanda and it was fantastic! JCB happened to be on property that day much to our surprise and delight! Great wines, good vibes, fun times, highly recommended.
