Always a great visit to Sonoma. The wineries are plentiful. Sonoma Square is a favorite spot of ours. Good restaurants, nice shops, and even small wineries.

This winery was chosen for us on our Oceania cruise ship excursion. Our early October visit at this winery lasted around 1 hour. Our guide who met us at the entrance gave a short talk about the history of the winery and the owner's Italian background as a reason for the architecture of the building and the huge Murano glass chandelier inside the entrance. The winery has an inviting landscape out front with the olive trees clipped to form arches and the colorful ivy with autumn colors on the front of the 2 storey fieldstone building. Vineyards line both sides of the highway out front. The Cline vineyard was across the street. Our guide, then, walked us past the spacious patio where visitors, not on a tour, taste the wines, walked past the large patio fountain, to the area where the grapes were crushed and the building were the wine was stored in red clay barrels called amphorae.
We had the wine tasting in a windowless Reception room, attached to the patio, and probably used for larger functions like weddings. The 2 white marble Bacchus like sculptures around the entry door were gorgeous. We slowly tasted about 4-6 types of white wines (1 was a rose) - about 1 1/2 inches of wine in a wine glass or a couple of sips, probably amounting to 1 large glass of wine in all - as the guide gave details about the wine. The same glass was used for all tastings with a utensil available to pour out the wine not drunk between tastings. All wines, however, were to my liking. There was no pushy sales talk to buy bottles of any wines we tasted. The tour ended with an invitation to walk into the vineyard by the patio to pick and taste the small ripe white grapes used by this winery. This was our first visit to a Sonoma winery and it made a good impression. Buy 2 bottles of wine and the tasting is free - sums up the price visitors, not on a tour, would pay for a tasting.

We really enjoyed our wine tasting at Jacuzzi. Our host was informative and generous. All the wines and our charcuterie platter were great. The grounds and buildings are just gorgeous -- we explored all over the place. You feel like you're in Italy.

The building and grounds were beautiful. They offered a charming yet elegant old world-feel with a beautiful courtyard and walkable grounds.
I love that they not only are a winery but are also an olive press.
The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were very good and the gift shop is stocked with wonderful giftable gems.

We have a great spur of the moment tasting at Jacuzzi. We had visited Cline Family Vineyards several years ago. They had just acquired amphorae (terra cotta wine barrels). We stopped at Cline and was told they moved them to their sister vineyard, Jacuzzi. We found they are using them for 2 wines so we were able to do a tasting that included them. TIm gave us a great tasting experience with so much related historical information. The wines were great as was Tim’s efforts. Great total experience to close out the amphorae story

This is a beautiful property first of all. There were 8 of us and while none of us were familiar with Jacuzzi wines it ended up being one of our favorite experiences and best wines. We ordered the charcuterie board which was fantastic and added to our tasting. The olive oil for bread dipping was top shelf and available from the sister store across the hall...The Olive Press. They were very helpful in arranging the shipping of wine and then eliminated the cost of the tasting if 3 bottles per person were purchased. And yes it is the same family of the Jacuzzi tubs!!

I enjoyed this winery which has beautiful grounds, some unique wines (though not my favorites), and olive oil galore. Unlike some others that mentioned poor hosting/servers, I was treated well by my host Max who was friendly and did a good job serving and going over wines. Winery is near many other wineries which means heavier traffic, but also is quite convenient.

I felt fleeced. $30.00 per person for tasting. Not even a descent amount of wine to taste. The server never discussed the wine or the vineyard. We had been visiting wineries for the past week and I can honestly say that this was our worst experience.
It is not worth your time. Save your money.

This vineyard has a lovely setting and the property itself is nicely laid out and they have managed to create an Italian feel to the place.
The wines served were not to my taste but that was not their fault. The lady looking after me invited me to try one more wine not on the list to try and see if that suited my palate. I thought that was very kind.
The amount of the wine poured into each of the tasting glasses was a bit too little and if they'd been slightly more generous, they might have scored a better rating from me despite me not liking their wines that much. They also poured the reds into the same glass after I had finished the previous one. Not impressed with that.
They have a very nice shop and as well as their wines, they make some really nice olive oil.
Well worth stopping in for an hour if you're in the neighbourhood.

We had a server who said he had been doing this since Dec. 2021 - just two to three months. He was honestly horrible. All he talked about was his drones. Knew nothing about the wine, grapes, olive oil they served, nothing. The wine was mediocre at best. Property pretty but that did not make up for the overall experience. Ordered a cheese board that was also disappointing. Not even a cracker on it. For the price not worth it. Almonds were good but three little pieces of meat and a few different cheeses but not even enough to actually have all four taste it. I know it said serves two but typically you can each try something from it. Just a wasted hour and $200 - we actually just left early. Do not bother with this. Lots of other great options.

Is there any convenient way to get here on public transportation from San Francisco? We would prefer not to rent a car. Thanks!

I would do a tour. It will be the cheapest and easiest. Hindsight...do a tour that includes Muir woods and wineries together. Both can be done easily in one day.
I would love to visit here, do they sell any food? or is it allowed to have picnic there?

Rams Gate is the best of Sonoma!
Believe me we did it right around thanksgiving and the hit Napa but nothing came close. Not even opus or silver oak or anything else. Just for the place it's worth it.

Is there parking for a 26 ft rv?
Lindathesilkpainter
San Rafael, CA54 contributions
Yes, at the first turn of into the winery there is a partially paved dirt road on the left where you could park a large vehicle. I think that the turning radius is sufficient to turn it around. Sometimes bus pre-arranged tours park there as well. Be sure that you do not park it out near the solar collectors though.

Are you pet friendly? I have two tiny well behaved dogs.....
Lindathesilkpainter
San Rafael, CA54 contributions
The California Dept.of Health has stated that ONLY true service dogs be allowed in the Tasting Room on leash. However, there is a pet friendly good sized piazza where there are dog water bowls and dogs are allowed to follow the path outside the back of the winery to go on a wide pathway out into part of the vineyards.
Vivo en México, en dónde puedo comprar estos vinos? Gracias
