Great place to walk off that lunch or dinner we just had in Tahoe City! We often take a walk around the park area before or after eating in Tahoe City. There are several ways down to the beach area, lots of benches along the way. The grandkids love the playground equipment and the beach. It's a great place to get some nice sunset photos!

We were pleasantly surprised by our time spent here. Not only on the lake, but the trail that went through the park. Beautiful spots for pictures and to climb on some rocks. Restrooms here and easy parking. A nice spot to stop and explore.

This is a lovely large beach that is very busy. In the summer there are several concerts on the stage. It's a great place to watch fireworks on the 4th of July, but it may require quite a walk as people come early. Park somewhere legal and facing the direction towards where you are staying, as trying to turn around when leaving at the same time as everyone else can be time consuming. Be sure to pack out any food packaging you brought in! Don't count on local trash containers as they fill early in the day! Please help keep our beautiful beaches pristine!

This is one of the great parks along the shores of the fabulous Lake. One of the world's greatest gifts to us all, this splendid outdoor experience.

A beautiful park with trails, a picnic area, and an amphitheater located in Tahoe City.
Restaurants and shopping adjacent.
Check out the artwork at the amphitheater - "Ursa Mater" or "Penny Bear" - a 12-foot sculpture of a mother Grizzly Bear with cubs covered in pennies to simulate the fur.

Great place to hand out and enjoy the lake. We like to kayack/paddleboard and you can easily put in there or rent from the establishment on the beach. Only down side is dogs aren't allowed and parking can be a bit of a wait.

You can sit on benches, grass or beach or rent a kayak from business right out of their red top on the Tahoe City part of beach (through the fall) or walk along the lake for a little while or walk for miles & miles all around its changing vistas.
There are many entrance points as one heads SE, past the yacht club, along a golden path of quaking aspen leaves now, & dining options just up the slope on the street side. Do read the informative stands of both geological & historical information spaced along this great walking & biking path.

Commons Beach Park is a lovely gem on Lake Tahoe. Free parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis. The park has plenty of grassy areas, picnic tables and playground equipment, and the beach is clean and inviting. Great place to spend time with family and friends.

This is a great area with plenty to do for kids and adults. The trail along the shore to some great restaurants and easy proximity to the headwaters of the Truckee River.
