Delightful museum and don't miss the photography special exhibit
Feb. 2020
The museum does a great job presenting the history of Temecula. They have a wonderful children's area as well. The highlight for us was the special photography exhibit on farmers. It is so well done plus there are write-ups by farmers on how they feel about farming. Absolutely do not miss visiting the museum if you are in town.

Take the Saturday morning tour of Old Town
Dec. 2019
We enjoyed the tour of Old Town. We learned a lot about our new home, and it was a pleasant tour and our guide was very good.

Our little jewel

What a great place to visit and learn about local history. They also have a really great display of missions. The little gift shop had nice little gifts and trinkets and the docents are very helpful and informative.

Amazing history of temecula
Mar. 2019 • Family
I had no clue that this area had such an intense and rich history. I came for 10 minutes and stayed for 3 hours with a promise to myself to return. More to learn. Good for kids with interactive things for them. This is not fancy but it is educational

So much info on the history of Temecula and the surrounding Valley. My daughter loves visiting the museum. There is a fun kids area upstairs.

A step back in time

Admission is by donation on the honor system and the small price makes this a good value! Two floors of history are available for visitors to experience at their pace. The second floor is more interactive with costumes little ones can try on and mock-ups of shops and homes which allow for a little play-acting. There's even a horse for young visitors to sit on.

The museum is a compilation of early hosehold items and technology with a healthy nod to the historic people who called this valley home. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We found this museum at the end of our nearly mile-long walk down Old Town Front Street. It is a little off the main promenade and that makes it all the more pleasant (and restful).

While in Old Town Temecula, we happened upon the local museum. It’s a nice slice of town history with some fun local lore. It’s a quick visit, so definitely squeeze that I to our day.

Located int he heart of Old Town you will see where Earl Stanly Gardner wrote his Perry Mason Novels, learn about the real old west, see where the 1960's tv show the invaders was filmed and much much more

most impressive of local attractions

We enjoyed the history of the area. Now there needs to be some recent history as to who began the vineyards. We were impressed with the curator who added more information.
