Callaway Vineyard & Winery currently grows seven different varietals....

Callaway Vineyard & Winery currently grows seven different varietals. The winery property now has 20 acres of Estate vineyards planted with Viognier, Syrah, Dolcetto, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Lin family owns an additional 200 acres of property at the corner of De Portola Road and Monte de Oro, of which approximately 50 acres are currently planted with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Callaway Winery & Nature...At Callaway, we believe we are merely stewards of our land. The vineyards are farmed with the philosophy that seeks to sustain, for the long term, the viability of the land. From the winery, one can see the many specially constructed nesting boxes and perches nestled throughout the vineyards, which encourage a stable population of hawks and owls. Cover crops are encouraged to grow between the vineyard rows to provide habitat for beneficial insects. These are but a few ways we encourage nature to be nature! Callaway Winery & Winemaking...Approachable, flavorful and extremely well-balanced wines are synonymous with the Callaway name. The time honored, Callaway tradition of using unusually cold temperatures during fermentation to slow and prolong the process, allows our wines to retain their natural fruit flavors and aromas. And the result - wines that are fruit forward, food friendly and the perfect complement to today's eclectic lifestyles. Wines made to be enjoyed, from our vineyards to your table.

Ended up doing the tasting with a large number of wines to choose from, relaxed atmosphere, with beautiful scenery made this an easy return to spot.

Wine is ok, but half of why you are visiting is the view. After numerous stops, this location was recommend for the view of sun setting in wine country. Did not disappoint

We dined here on a Sunday evening in March 2017 after enjoying a wine tasting in the adjacent winery complex. The food was second only to the view! Watching the sun set over the vineyards while enjoying an excellent prime rib and a bottle of their Profonde red wine made for a memorable evening. The attentive wait-staff (Jamie and Kenneth)... We started out with the winery tour at 11 am. We learned a lot about the area as well as this winery. We also learned about the wine making process and got to see where the wine is made. We really enjoyed our time with our tour guide, Ryan. Then we went for wine tasting and our server was very... More

My wife and I were here on a one day DIY tour of Temecula Wine Country. Callaway wasn’t originally on my list of places to visit, but a trusted winemaker friend from back home recommended a stop here. Other folks who we met on the previous day said that they felt Callaway was too big and corporate for them, so... More

The Winery has a Beautiful outdoor seating area with a view of the vineyards and the mountain. They also have a band shell for live entertainment. That was a bonus. The Tasting room is very large but with limited seating. We went on a Saturday and it was very loud and crowded. Hard to hear people at your own table.... More

We joined a group on a wine tour and Calloway was our first stop. The tasting room was large and had a long bar with lots of room for people to taste. Tyler, our server, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He did an excellent job of suggestion wines to sample based on our 'likes'. Love the idea of 'tickets' for... More
