Overview
More
Callaway Vineyard & Winery currently grows seven different varietals. The winery property now has 20 acres of Estate vineyards planted with Viognier, Syrah, Dolcetto, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The Lin family owns an additional 200 acres of property at the corner of De Portola Road and Monte de Oro, of which approximately 50 acres are currently planted with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Callaway Winery & Nature...At Callaway, we believe we are merely stewards of our land. The vineyards are farmed with the philosophy that seeks to sustain, for the long term, the viability of the land. From the winery, one can see the many specially constructed nesting boxes and perches nestled throughout the vineyards, which encourage a stable population of hawks and owls. Cover crops are encouraged to grow between the vineyard rows to provide habitat for beneficial insects. These are but a few ways we encourage nature to be nature! Callaway Winery & Winemaking...Approachable, flavorful and extremely well-balanced wines are synonymous with the Callaway name. The time honored, Callaway tradition of using unusually cold temperatures during fermentation to slow and prolong the process, allows our wines to retain their natural fruit flavors and aromas. And the result - wines that are fruit forward, food friendly and the perfect complement to today's eclectic lifestyles. Wines made to be enjoyed, from our vineyards to your table.

Callaway Vineyards is quite large and sits perched at the top of a long drive. The public building is very modern with spectacular views of the surrounding vineyard and landscape. My husband and I visited here on a weekday when it was not too busy...More

My wife and I got away for a birthday weekend (hers). We visited several wine tastings but I will say Callaway Winery was the overall best for being military friendly. Active Duty military got 50% off wine tasting tickets (only $10). When we went up...More

The entire facility is gorgeous. They have lovely wines to offer as well. We did a "tasting" and then walked outside to absorb the views. I immediately wanted to join their wine club! Any visitor to Temecula should stop by.

As a member of their wine club, obviously I have access to their wines more than the average customer. They, however, arrive via UPS. It felt great to be back on the premises. I found the winery unchanged with very little exceptions that don't deserve...More

The outside ambiance of the property is beautiful. The wine tasting was just OK. The employee pouring our tasting made no effort to explain the wines to us. Was more interested in pouring our wine and taking our ticket. But sitting outside with a glass...More

Cold sterile setting. Not a good vibe for tasting. Commercial setting and not much passion with the tasting

Our tour bus stopped at Calloway Wines. Was a beautiful stop! We tasted six wines...I really liked the dessert wines!

This winery used to have good wines but in the last several years they have gone downhill. I read through the reviews posted here and perhaps folks that like the wines are speaking about the whites which I don't drink. Their reds are acidy and...More

We always take our friends to this winery when in Temecula, since it is one of the first wineries from town and off the freeway. People who know or play golf are most interested when I explain the vineyard's connection to the sport, and usually...More
