After days of excursions from Trinidad to Orrick, redwoods, etc, we took a spontaneous turn into this park which was so close to home base, we assumed it was noting special. WRONG!!! It was amazing. One of the best photos of our trip was from there. It's so special that we've decided on our next trip to camp there rather... More

Took us almost 2 years to build this beautiful landscape (1990-1992), and many bruised and cut hands. Proposed to my wife there in 1997 and she said yes. The memories of hauling in all the rock, and wearing repelling gear to place it is priceless. Best day of the job was watching the whales breach, words cannot describe that. All... More

Gorgeous well-maintained trails, interesting visitor center, beautiful coastline, and campsites that are not on top of each other. Fabulous experience and a very special campground!

The ranger at the entrance was upbeat, friendly & very helpful in guiding us to trails she thought we'd enjoy in spite of the rain. Hiking just the one trail out to The Wedding Rock was well worth the stop.

My wife and I spent a day in here during our road trip thought Northern California to Astoria. The trails are very easy and I really recommend everyone doing it, specially the one to the point. It was a sunny day so we took really nice pictures. Really worth a visit.

The Rim Trail is one of the best hikes along the Northern California coast, made easily accessible in this user-friendly state park--compact and easy to navigate. Several awe-inspiring views of a rugged coastline. The many offshoot trails, such as Wedding Rock or Rocky Point, offer views of rare beauty. Absolutely worth the visit!

a gorgeous beach - state park with showers - go after a storm and see the incredible driftwood that washes up from the redwood forests

We parked outside the park and walked in and were blown away by the hike to the wedding area. The trails are very easy.

Yikes - $35 to camp here - and that's without electricity (there isn't any), unheated cold water only washrooms, dirt underfoot, picnic tables that are falling to pieces, and apparently no 'housekeeping' either as our site, which the attendant enthusiastically said was her favourite, had not been visited by any clean up staff for a while: cans in the fire... Anyone working at this park should be ashamed of what they offer in the way of camping off season. Very expensive, no electric hook ups, inadequate bathroom facilities. our site was recommended, but it was filthy. Old propane bottle in food storage locker that had a door hanging off its hinges, dirty sodden mat on the picnic table, garbage in... More
