If you like violent waves-- this is your place. We saw a surfer give up because the swells were so big he couldn't get his board into position. We went there to hunt for agates but found none-- a lady felt sorry for us and...More

We took our dog for a walk on the beach at Big Lagoon County Park. Signs warn about undertow in the ocean, but the lagoon was calm, great for kayaking. There are reasonable day use fees and campgrounds are available.

A very unique and awesome place. The lagoon itself is huge and protected. People were sailing, kayaking and swimming in the calm waters. There is a beautiful and serene campsite in the woods up against the lagoon with a very nice beach to hang out...More

This place has a few tables for picnics by the lagoon. Bathrooms are close. The beach is to the left of the lagoon and is easy to reach without having to hike down a steep path as at Patrick's Point/Agate Beach. You can actually walk...More

This area has a spit that protects a large lagoon from the Pacific Ocean and its power so it makes it a wonderful place to paddle kayaks or paddle boards. There is a campground and day use area. Pay for the day use area by...More

Loved the spaces, love the small beach just a short walk from the campsites. Showers are hot and great water pressure. The only down fall are all the screaming crows that wake you very early. Had a great two days.
