Although I was there for an event held in another part of the buildings beautiful architecture. I was able to spend some time in the Museum bookstore with it's many intriguing offerings, and knowledgeable staff. I look forward to seeing the entire museum in the near future.

The museum is well laid out, has interesting displays and historic stories that anyone interested in the Navy would find enjoyable. While not large, it is a pleasant walk through interesting events of the past. Located in lovely old town Vallejo, it can be part of a great day in this historic waterfront environment.

We go here 3-4 times a year to see what is new. Excellent facility. Like the periscope from a WWII submarine at the top. You can see Golden Gate bridge on a clear day. It's fun.

One of those quaint local history museums that relies on volunteers. The kids will love the periscope.

Not only is this building historical in this special city named after Gen. Vallejo....it hosts art and treasures from 1849. On rare occasions they also house theatre productions.

The Naval & Historical Museum is located on Marin St. in the second location of the Vallejo City Hall and Police Station. The book store has a lot of material about the history of Vallejo and also about General Vallejo and Mare Island. There's a submarine periscope going through the roof allowing you to look around the city and the... More

Family member told me about this place in downtown Vallejo, CA. We used their facilities to host my 94 yr old mother's Celebration of Life, after she went to be with God and Jesus. They did a fantastic job, and it was "over the top", from what I had expected.
