Wonderful to find old California in your own backyard. It is fun to imagine living here with horses and other animals back in the old days. Think about how the music must have sounded from the old veranda? How much fun to play up in...More
This is a fascinating historical home. We did the self guided tour and the grounds and house are immaculate. The literature provided was interesting and covered the entire house. it was fun to imagine what the area must have looked like 200 years ago! The...More
I arrived after closing hours and could only explore the exterior. Definitely need to return for their docent tour. What I did see is a fabulously maintained Rancho, built in 1852. The house, I read, is 7,000 square feet and furnished. There is a small...More

I love to hear the old stories, hear the history and see the architecture. This place has a lot of history for the area and it's a great place for a wedding venue. Check out the hand hewn beams in the stable area. Very cool.
If you are anywhere near this site, it is an opportunity you really shouldn't miss. The home, originally built in 1857, is beautiful and furnished with artifacts that tell a story of family life from another era. It is part of the County park system,...More

The Adobe has come back to life with beautiful restorations and family events - also weddings! Their buildings are fixed up - 28 years ago the only restoration was the chapel. GREAT new landscaping shows what grows well in our drought.
A great place to visit to get the feeling of what hacienda life was like in the 19th century. The courtyard garden is beautiful and the rooms have enough furniture and fixtures to bring the place to life. This is a county park and exceeds...More
