This was a first experience for all of us (2 adults and a 15 yr old girl and 9 year old boy) and we are so glad we chose Barry ! We were super impressed with the friendly and knowledgable service which left my children with lasting memories ! "Double Double!!!" They had a blast catching multiple fish in a quick time span!
We have since enjoyed eating our catch , filet and cleaned by Jamie. I would recommend to everyone, but especially those with children (they were fantastic with the kids) and I would not hesitate to choose them again !

It was a good time. Got to catch quite a lot of mackerel and cod. Reasonably priced for the experience. Tour guides were very helpful to ensure we made the most of our fishing experience.

My kids, 7 and 9, loved this so much. When I asked my very hard to please son if he liked it, he replied 'No, I loved it!'.
The whole trip was fantastic from start to finish. The crew were friendly and professional. The boat was clean and safe and fully equipped with life jackets, etc.
The trip out to sea was picturesque as expected (it is PEI!) and before you knew it we were fishing for mackerel. These were super easy to catch and both of my kids caught many and were thrilled. If their lines got tangled or they needed help a crew member was there to help. We then proceeded a bit further out to sea to catch cod and boy did we even catch some big ones! We met our quota for the boat quickly but were able to keep fishing and releasing. On the way back, the captain let my kids 'drive the boat' which was a nice touch and something they will remember. He even explained how he navigated. They loved it.
At the end of the trip the fish were divided amongst the parties on the boat to take home.
A few tips:
1. This can get dirty, so bring fresh clothes for after the trip! I underestimated the amount of fish 'stuff' that would get on the kids clothes and hands. We wanted to go out to eat after but were a little too disgusting. Also, it can get wet as there was some spray from the boat.
2. It appears you can bring your own beverages on the boat as all of the other patrons had beer, etc. It would have been nice to have a drink while cruising out to sea!

The crew were amazing, we all caught fish and had an amazing time. I will definitely go back! Staff were moving our boat as soon as there was a lull in bites and if we caught a fish they had our lines back in right away! My kids will never forget the experience!

Went deep sea fishing with Jason & Jamie for cod & mackerel the other day. Very professional captains who put us all on the fish.

Jason and crew made the experience of PEI deep sea fishing an absolute pleasurable experience for our family. Crew member Mike took my son under his wing and made him feel so special and worked with him the entire trip. Highly recommend these boys for any deep sea fishing adventures

Went out on an evening trip with Captain Jamie and John. Our hosts answered all questions with a smile and helped everyone on the boat have a great time, then sent us home with fresh fish fillets from what was caught. 4 days into our stay, this was the highlight of our time on the island so far!
We started with fishing for mackerel, then moved out into deeper waters to catch cod. It was about 3h round trip and all we had to bring was a camera.

Went fishing today and we caught lots of cod... huge ones.
Captain Jason and his mate were very helpful and put us on the fish, both mackerel and cod.

We went out with our family of 5 and a large group of friends for an evening fishing trip. Our kids are 8, 6 and 4 and each of them had an absolute blast. There was so much for them to do. Whether they were catching fish, riding under the bow, watching them fillet the fish or watching Jason captain the boat, they enjoyed every moment. We were catching fish the moment our hooks were in the water which made the 3hrs fly by. Tons of Mackerel and lots of nice cod! Honestly this was a fishing trip of a lifetime made extra special by the Doucette hospitality! There is no question that we’ll be booking with them again when we return to the Island. Thanks for the memories Jason!
