In a nutshell, overrated. Certainly not like the old days. I took my kids there in 2023 and it was so noisy, so crowded, overpriced, and you spend literally 99% in a queue. I thought it was just me seeing it through older eyes but my kids were not that impressed. Walked away with a shocking headache. Not going back in a hurry.
The layout of the show is all over the place and there seemingly is not much logic to it. I suggest families with multiple kids get 2 passes as sharing one is an absolute debacle.
The only thing I would say that was excellent was the transport to and from.

1/5 stars... very disappointing.
The easter show was all over the place.. the map was difficult to navigate and the food was quite terrible. People serving food in food trucks didn't even wear hair nets or have gloves on!
I do like the new carnival cards that came out where you can put credits on them, because it's a lot easier to top up and quicker to get on rides. Unfortunately, even though I bought credits, my card wasn't recharged! I had to wait in line again for them to fix it, only for them to tell me to go to customer service! Was extremely annoyed by then because they didn't really seem to do anything about it and I had to wait another 20 minutes for a manager to come.
Most rides weren't even worth the 1 hour line wait! Went on the bumper carts with my friends but was immediately kicked out because I had no token.. I never received one in the first place! A man had kicked us out even though we had already paid and showed him the transaction! It was a bunch of credits wasted. Make sure to get a token if you're going on the bumper carts!
The easter show was a hellhole, it was messy, grimy and felt sticky altogether... not to mention the prices of everything! The only things I really enjoyed here were the show bags, other than that, I really wouldn't come here again to have a fun experience. Customer service: 1/5 Food: 2/5 Rides: 1/5 Overall experience? 0/5
It just recently came out a few hours ago that a high school student was stabbed to death here! Fights were all over the place near the rides and children and young families were all watching.. what a hellhole 🤦♀️

It has been many years since we have been to the Sydney Royal Easter Show and it will be many more years (if ever) 'till we go again. It was a total waste of time and money!
The overall organisation of the event was woeful. Firstly, getting from Olympic Park station to the nearest entrance gate required a half kilometre walk. For us elderly people and ( to some extent ) our grandchildren, this was an ordeal we had not contemplated. The situation was made even worse by the fact that there was a locked and unmanned gate into the show within a few metres from the railway station exit.
Once in the show, trying to find any particular event, exhibit etc was difficult. The only written guide available was one from The Daily Telegraph which was being distributed on entry. There was little or no signposting and we were able to find only one information booth which was manned by a somewhat abrupt and dismissive attendant. Not that it mattered that much as there was nothing much to see and very little happening. The traditional things that we fondly remembered from past shows were either poor or non existent - the fruit and vegetable exhibit was very spartan compared to the spectacular displays we had seen in the past. The wood chopping seemed to have been abandoned and most of the animal pavilions were close to being empty. Most ludicrous of all was the total absence of cattle ( some sort of unsatisfactory reason given) and alpacas which, apparently, "didn't show up"! Although we were there during peak time there seemed to be little going on. Of course there was plenty of fast food outlets and amusement rides. In short, plenty of anything where money could be made.Little however for the traditionalists who remember the Sydney Royal Easter Show of old with all the diverse and fascinating animals and the wonderful produce displays and other very interesting exhibits.
Excuses can be given for any or all the shortcomings of this years show, such as Covid 19, record rainfall etc. but proceeding to hold the event under such circumstances is taking money from patrons and giving very little in return.

For anyone who thinks the annual Royal Easter Show is worth going to, my only advice is that they should get out more. It's disgustingly overpriced and noisy, with an extreme shortage of seating facilities, especially for the elderly.
My wife and I attended yesterday on the so-called "senior's day"; the first time in years. Despite the heavy media propaganda claiming that the day was focused on seniors, we found no evidence of such, other than a discounted entry ticket.
We also noticed that the usual rip-off showbag retailers were charging a $1 fee for those wishing to purchase showbags with either an EFTPOS card or a credit card. I can only guess that forcing patrons to pay in cash without being penalised, allows a lot of purchases to go unnoticed and keeps a lid on income taxes.
I still remember the old showgrounds at Moore Park. It certainly wasn't the most scenic venues around town, but at least it had character and provided value for money.

Royal Easter Show 2022, Saturday 16th April, arriving at 10am. Super disappointed. $120 entry family pass for 3 of us, works out slightly cheaper this way then buying individual passes. Purposely went for domestic animal pavilion and dog area, what a waste of time, could have seen more by walking around local suburb. $13 each for hotdogs which were disgusting, don’t mind paying $13 for something edible. Can’t say we’d be back anytime soon. Better day out at the zoo. Unfortunately the show has lost its class. Trashy, overpriced experience 😢

Visited the RAS on Saturday and this would have to rate as the worst Easter Show EVER!
It has spiralled down from a great day out (at Moore Park) to a greedy grab for cash.
The excessive entry fee of $45 per adult gets you nothing but entry and a map.
If you want to see the fireworks you have to pay extra, your ticket jumps from $60 to $93! Forget parking which will cost you an extra $35 with no refunds! Rides are a minimum of $10 for 2 minutes and show bags are $6-$35 and totally not worth it.
Fireworks were always included at Moore Park for EVERYONE to enjoy. We all parked in the fields near by and had to remember where we parked making a game of finding the car.
Gone are the days where you could experience the country coming to the city, it’s more like Paddy’s Markets with rides.
The magnificent fruit displays of old are now ordinary. They have even removed the traditional viewing ramp where you could take a good photo. The petting area asks for $2 per cup of food and the crowds are not very regulated so good luck to the poor animals.
Show bags are very poor with not much effort from the traditional companies like Cadbury and Smiths. Would be cheaper at the supermarket as there is not even a crappy plastic ruler included in the bag. Coke hasn’t even bothered to offer a bag so it is a good indicator how much the show means to them.
In short the RAS has lost sight of what the show is about. I truely believe they will price themselves out of existence. I would grab a cheap toy from somewhere like Kmart buy some Easter eggs and take your family to a park or a zoo. Bring a picnic and save yourself the expense and crowds.

Sydney Olympic Park was once a polluted industrial site. As part of the preparation for the Sydney Olympics in 2000 the site was remediated and now sports wetlands, mangrove boardwalks and riverside walks. It’s an enjoyable area to explore for a few hours.
In terms of some recommended sites… starting at Rhodes railway station, follow the riverside path to Bicentennial Park. Checkout the views from the Treillage Tower. Then explore the Badu Mangroves using the boardwalk, Shipwreck Lookout and Wentworth Common & the Bay Marker Lookout. The nearby Brickpit Ring Walk was the highlight of the walk.

What a great experience to re-visit Ken Rosewall Arena with the New roof and ventilated arena. The ATP Cup was well worth seeing: excellent tennis and good competition.
A shame though, that there were no women to see this year.
Most interesting to witness great tennis form players less known .
Go to see it - for the rest of this week.
Finals later this week, no doubt better known players will be in later matches.

The Easter show waThe Sydney Easter Show offers thrilling rides and entertaining exhibits, but the steep costs can put a damper on the fun. While the attractions are enjoyable, the overall expense may deter budget-conscious visitors. Finding a balance between enjoyment and affordability is essential for fully enjoying this annual event.

Royal radter show was atrocious as many elderly have said. No character like Moore park with the cale cars 3d Max cinemas sideshow alley with magic shows and hypnosis avd break shows now just stupid guy marches. The racing cars never did any stunts and t u r bike stunts this year were lame. This has become as watered doen as the stupid movies on the Barbie cinema world today.
