The Living Memorial Sculpture Garden is a collection of large iron sculptures commemorating veterans and heroes killed in action. The drive along US-97 is beautiful along the northern foot of Mt Shasta and alone worth the trip.

The stark and emotional sculptures in the lonely naked high desert with the ferocious Mt Shasta looming overhead is an emotional highlight to the compelling, stark, breathtaking creations of a singular artist. A true and emotional tribute to a war that left a generation of...More

The gentleman at the Mt Shasta Visitors Centre told us about this and I am so glad he did. It was a bit further from Weed than we expected and almost bypassed it. It's quite a tribute to honor all veterans and you can just...More

I was excited to find this free attraction along the highway. The sculptures amid the surrounding landscape are perfection. Children too young to appreciate the sculptures could enjoy walking the labyrinth.

We visited there last summer and it was nothing short of being totally awesome. We had a little trouble finding it, but once we did it was well worth the drive. We had 2 teenagers with us and thought they would probably not like it...More

Great place to sit and reflect, right at the base of Mount Shasta. Stop by and take a walk and keep an eye out for small head stones and pay a brief respect to the men and woman who served.

A beautiful and quiet place to reflect and honor veterans. Each year around Memorial Day new names are added to the Wall for veterans alive and dead.

All memorials are accessible by wheelchair, no map is necessary, you can easily see where you need to go to see all sculptures. I can't really speak to the weather questions, we were there in July.
