The snowboard school gives you what you need to get started. For $125, you get equipment rental, 2 x 2 hours lessons ( 4 hrs total) and lift ticket for 8 hrs on lower mountain lift. Only 30 minutes from San Bernadino.

In the six days prior to my trip they got something like 7 feet of snow. Went on a Thursday. Fair price, small crowds, superb conditions. Got a ton of skiing in over nearly the whole day and still got home before dark.
