If you like dolls, then this is a must stop for you! I couldn't believe the number and variety of dolls in this collection. The building is worth the stop even if you don't like dolls.

We visited the Franco American Hotel when we visited the historic district of Yreka. The original hotel was built in the 1850s. In 1880's US President Hayes and family stayed there. During its prime, it was considered one of the nicest hotels in Northern California....More

No longer a hotel but they seem to have events there. Many signs about history in window and it seems to have been maintained for visitors but was closed when we walked by.

A must see in Yreka, CA. A marvelous collection of antiques that will delight you. Carve out an hour to really enjoy the experience.

I have a wonderful time at this museum. There are lots of old and interesting items from the past to look at. The owner is very knowledgeable and will tell you quite a bit if you stop to talk to him.
