Everyone knows we live next to a National Park. But there are so many other things to do in our neighborhood. The staff at the welcome center really do make you feel welcome. They will gladly provide maps for the area and share forgotten places in the desert. The Integration, cowboy fight outs at the OK Coral, Murals of 29... More

If you are new to the area, vacationing or just passing through a quick stop at The California Welcome Center is a "must" - they have tons of information and maps available and the volunteer staff are knowledgeable and courteous. Additionally, the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce is located here and the Basin Wide Foundation has an office here.
