Drove up. Got out, hiked until our heads popped. A little headachie too - Very high for us Brooklynites. Beautiful red soil. Incredible rocks. Had to come down sooner than we'd have liked. Saw deer and rabbits strolling about right on the side of the...More

My best friend and I hiked this and loved it. We did a six mile hike and really enjoyed it. The views are stunning and the trails are gorgeous.

There are no words to describe how amazing this view is. No trip to Boulder is complete with a trip to the Flatirons.

Did my first hike here since visiting CU. Very close to campus and loved the free weekend shuttle to the park. Rangers are helpful to give advice on trails. Make sure to bring water and good hiking or walking shoes. Beautiful views.

Love the Flatirons! Love to see the snow on top while the sun is shining below in winter, and lots of great trails for hiking and exploring in nice weather. Beware of entering a creature habitat.

Unbelievable! Load up the car, put on your hiking boots and get up that mountain. Very safe trails with crushed stone to assist you. Scattered picnic tables in commonly explored areas. The views are spectacular. There is even a lake near the top across the...More

We were there much later than April when the weather was very warm and all the walks were available. Looking at the answers from other contributors it could be a problem or you may strike lucky. Sorry can't be helpful.

The main trails start at Chautauqua on the south end of town. I'm not sure how close a city bus can get you there but you would take Broadway south to 9th street and head west on 9th. You'd run right into it. It's only... More
