Our rotation was the Elk/Beaver Nines. We found both courses to be straight foward; rewarding good shots, while making you regret poor shots. The fairways were wide and well maintained. Bunkers had the correct quantity of sand and were groomed before the day's play. Greens...More

Excellent course in great condition! Be sure to play all three courses - Beaver, Bear and Elk. Friendly staff on the course, in the pro shop and in the restaurant/bar.

Jack Nicklaus's only municipal course in the US is a truly marvelous experience. We played all 27 holes on the same day and couldn't have had a more varied weather day. Wind, rain, and sunshine all appeared. The nines all have similar shot values, so...More

The Breckenridge course has 3 nine hole courses called Bear, Elk and Beaver. I choose Elk for no other reason than I liked the name. I don't think I got lucky with my choice as I bet all 3 are spectacular. The views are amazing....More

The course is in great shape however be prepared to sit back and wait - speed of play is slow and lots of time waiting to hit shots. Players assistants did little or nothing to speed along groups.

Our first trip to Breckenridge in the fall did not disappoint. Locals we played with told me this was built as a private course & after downturn the city bought it & operates it now. They have three nines of Nicklaus-designed golf holes. We played...More

Beautiful course but not easy! The fairways and greens were in great condition but the "rough is actually scrub brush that lies the fairways. If your ball goes into it, forget trying to find it. Just get out another ball!

This Jack Nicklaus designed 27-hole public course sits beautifully at 9,324’ above sea level. Breckenridge is a charming Victorian town most known for skiing but has increasingly become a popular destination for that perfect summer or fall get away. What better way to enjoy the...More
