It’s a wonderful place to have a event. The husband and wife team that own this place are so outgoing and so friendly. Every time I have been there for an event it has always been a great experience. The food has been great, the fireplace is very warm and glows, the seating is good and they serve beer and wine. I haven’t skied out the back for many years but now I have to go back.

I WOULD highly recommend this Nordic track.

Last year I wrote a review on how we were treated poorly by the elderly woman behind the cashier...chasing us around for our credit card as though we (two 64 year olds) were going to run out of the lodge with our cross country skiis. I had a several spills last year and was attempting to "recover".

This year was better because the person who helped us was friendly, professional.....and the elderly person who Hassled us last year appears to have been given more of a back office role (though I'm not certain).

Despite the improvement in service, we also went to Gold Run and loved it there! Superior trails, super professional and friendly staff. We went back in Gold Run twice this visit because of how friendly staff is, quality of equipment and trails!

We visited the Nordic Center for a guided snowshoeing tour (family of four with two college kids). The employees were all friendly and helpful. They provide boots with the snowshoe rental (if you want to keep your own boots warm and dry). Our guide (Henry) was fantastic! He pointed out animal tracks, bear markings on trees, and talked to us about the area. We even saw a moose! It was a fun few hours--a great opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, get some exercise (not strenuous), and learn about Breckinridge. Definitely recommend!

We just finished our first ever snow showing trails here. I have no complaints on the trail, they were well marked and beautiful. But we really felt like we were treated differently by the people here! We are Filipino-Americans from Illinois, we were the 2nd one to register when they just opened and I told them it was our first time doing this. They told us to pay then get our shoes and that was that. They handed our shoes, and not a single instruction was given to us. Then we started walking around to try on the shoes, then all the DONTs started, when no one gave us any rule or instruction whatsoever. We went on a short trail then came back for hot cocoa, with our snow shoes on, again, we didn’t know we were supposed to take them off! We didn’t take them off because it. Was so difficult to put them back on to begin with because no one Instructed us on how! Then I saw this white lady given all the instruction and rules by an elderly gentleman. Why didn’t we get that ?! We went back into the trail but I really felt like a child reprimanded all the time while we were there. It’s not like I didn’t tell them this was our FIRST TIMe. This was our first encounter with anyone in Breckendrige and coming from Vail, I realized we were in a whole different place for sure. Please treat everyone equally.

We are terribly sorry you had a bad experience with our service. This is very unusual for us to receive a poor rating particularly with our service. We really try to help everyone even on our busiest days. I can only assure you that it had nothing to do with race but was possibly due to the fact that we were in the midst of our busiest season. We hope that you can come again to experience what we really have to offer to all.

Went to Breckenridge with my husband for a ski trip. I ended up at the Nordic center to try snowshoeing and cross country skiing. What a blast! The people at the Nordic center are incredibly friendly and willing to patiently help newbies get going. It was cool that you could use their boots or wear your own (I recommend using theirs). The trails are incredibly well marked and very scenic. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful day learning how to cross country ski. Our instructor Jim was awesome! He was patient, funny and very informative. There were 5 in our group and he took the time to give each of us personalized pointers. We had a lesson years ago but didn't learn half as much what Jim taught us! With an emphasis on safety, smooth and steady he gave us the skills and confidence needed to really enjoy the sport!

The Nordic Center was excellent all around. From the moment we walked in, the front desk lady greeted us with a friendly smile and looked up our reservation. After we filled out the waivers, we went to the equipment desk and got our stuff for snowshoeing. Snowshoeing was so much fun. We had just gotten fresh snow, so everything looked beautiful. We only did one of the loop trails which was 1.5 miles, but I would have loved to do more. We went back to the lodge and switched our snowshoes for skis for a minimal cost. Skiing was a little harder, but we still had fun. Nordic skiing is way easier that downhill skiing in my opinion. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend the Nordic Center for a day full of outdoor adventures!

The snow cat tour was fun and our guide was great but upon entering the ladies were overwhelmed and rude. Telling my family of 5 to move to a specific waiting area then forgetting about us. Then we were instructed to wait outside even though our snow cat was not ready. Had to ask AGAIN about our $600 tour. Finally the snow cat showed up. At this price point, I was disappointed.

We booked a cross country skiing lesson. It was very easy to book. Our instructor was Justin and he was awesome! Everyone in the group had different levels of experience in cross country skiing and Justin made sure everyone felt comfortable, taught us all new techniques and most importantly, made sure we had fun. It was a great lesson and would recommend to anyone looking for a new winter activity to try with amazing views!

We have been visiting Breckenridge for many years from the UK and always visit the Nordic Centre to participate in Nordic Skiing & Snowshoeing. Although we have been aware that the Snowcat tour has been running for the last couple of years, we decided to give it a try this year.

It's a great experience! Our host (Sarah) and driver (Gary) were both very friendly and had loads of information to tell us. Although I ski round the trails the tour goes on, it made a great change to actually take in the scenery and learn things in a leisurely way.

We had a really enjoyable tour, which includes a stop at an historic miners cabin for some sledding, hot chocolate (and more stories), and it's very likely we will do the tour again when we come back next year!

Bottom Line: The tour is well worth it and great fun. Visiting the Nordic Centre is a must do if you come to Breckenridge!
