I took my two sons (age 11 and 12) on the 4-day Upper Salt River rafting/camping trip about a month ago. We flew from Washington, DC. It was a phenomenal trip. My boys had never been camping before. They had a blast, learning to set up a tent, collect firewood, start a fire with steel and flint, whittle sticks, use... More

You cannot give this place less than a 5*, everything from the reservation to the check in was great. Our captain was Lidia and she rocked! She did a phenomenal job taking us through the Rapids and keeping us safe. We had kids from 14-9 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can't wait for the next adventure.

We did the full day rafting trip yesterday, 3/19, and had the most amazing time! The scenery is unbelievable, and our guide, Justin was beyond exceptional. He was knowledgeable, safe and entertaining. I could not have asked for a better day.

My sister and I had the opportunity to go raft the Salt River in Arizona. Matt Brown was our guide and he was not only very knowledgeable of the area, but he had a fun personality and made us laugh the entire time. Added bonus, he sings in different languages and plays harmonica! We went on the full day and... More

We did the Arkansas River 20 years ago as a 3 night trip. CFUS were so fast we didn't raft much each day but had the time of our lives with 3 daughters age 12 14 and 16. We still remember one guide named Eva who told a campfire story about the rabbit in the moon. Last night was a... More

My family booked a rafting excursion with Wilderness Aware in Arizona near Globe. We asked to book a ride on a day that they wouldn't normally go out, but they accommodated us anyways, which was amazing. Everyone on staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. They give you all the supplies you need for your trip. All the equipment was very... More

As the short window of opportunity fast approaches for the multi-day Salt River trips, I'm writing my review now to possibly inspire someone to take the trip. We went in April 2016 with guides Justin and Nicki (hope you two are still living the river life) and were impressed at how well these two managed our little group of four,... More

I would recommend this trip to others! We had a great time. Six of us white water rafted the Platte River from Wyoming to Colorado. Our guide, Carson, was the best. The company provided a raft to follow us for safety. A great lunch was provided. A real heart pumping adventure. I can't wait to do it again.

We spent an excellent half day on the Arkansas River with Wilderness Aware Rafting in late August The water level was low and so getting through the rapids was technically challenging. When the water is high, you just glide over many of the large rocks that are everywhere in the rapids. Our guide, Lindsay, was excellent and managed us and... More

My parents and I went on an overnight trip with Ben and Isaiah and we had a blast! Between the good company, skilled guiding, beautiful views in Browns Canyon, and amazing hospitality, my family felt very taken care. They even made us cake for dessert! I’d recommend WA to everyone. We are hoping to return for another trip with them... More
