It was my first time river rafting as well as my wife's, and what an amazing time it was! I can't wait until we go again.
First things first - I don't know how to swim. I'm putting my life in these peoples hands, because I never learned the basic skill. I was pretty scared coming in. Am I going to die today?
Even through that, I had a great time.
Our guide Dominic made me feel very safe and secure. He went over everything that could happen, and what you do if it does. The way he described how-tos put my mind at ease. I felt confident that I would be able to stay calm if something were to happen.
Thankfully nothing did - our group was great, and his instructions led us to working together very well. I really can't thank Dominic enough, because his guidance made me feel secure enough to realize I love river rafting!
What an amazing time we had, and we got some awesome pictures to boot.

My wife and I were traveling alone and I wasn't sure if 2 in a raft made sense or was even possible. But we had the option to go with a guide, John, who basically did it all and allowed us to just enjoy the ride. Of course we asked for paddles for any photo opportunities that might arise:)

We were on a family rafting trip, Level 1. It lasted 1.5 to 2 hours. It was amazing!! We had the best guide, Dominque! He made it educational and fun! We learned so much from him and followed his instructions completely. He answered all of our questions too. We feel his guidance really added to the rafting experience. It was the first time for 4 out of 6 in our group. One of our favorite moments was when he took us to the side and we got out and physically floated down the Arkansas River, though briefly! The next day out little people wanted to know when we were going again!

A fantastic time had by myself and 2 buddies from high school (class of 1978). Ben was a great guide and a lot of fun. We all got dumped in the river in what's known as the toilet bowl. This was my 2nd trip with River Runners and I'll be back again for sure. Very experienced and knowledgeable team. Worth every penny they charge

Our family had a wonderful time floating Brown’s Canyon with River Runners Outfitters. The reservation and check in process was very informative and professional. Our guide, Carson, was very knowledgeable of the river and the rapids. He kept us all safely in the boat. We stopped for cliff jumping and lunch which was provided for the full day trip. We highly recommend using River Runners and definitely will book with them again.

Full-day trip - 5 to 6 hours with lunch included.
I had been on a white water rafting trip when I was 8 years old. I'm now 54 and the thought of doing a full day terrified me. I face my fear and signed up. My boat master was named Alan in Cañon City, Colorado. He made me and my teammates laugh. Alan had so much insight and historical information about the area. I totally forgot how scared I was and enjoyed the 5-hour trip. Alan called out the name of each water drop we encountered before we did it. It was outstanding. Will I recommend this tour? Heck Yeah!!! Will I do this again? Heck Yeah!!! Thank you River Runners for an excellent time!!

This was a great first experience with a water rafting for a family.
Dominic was the best guide!

Can’t wait to do this trip again. Our guide, Mikey, was the best. He was humorous and filled with fun facts about the sites we were seeing. We were a group of 60 year olds who were nervous about doing the class 3 & 4 rapids , but it was needless worrying. So much fun, we would do it again !

We just left River Runners from a 1/2 day rafting trip & it was AMAZING! Perfect time of year to go - the rapids we’re 1-4 and just enough excitement without being scary. Our guide Mikey was superb! He fully prepared us and guided us perfectly through the 10 mile journey and we all thoroughly enjoyed it and wished we could go back & do it again tomorrow. The scenery was spectacular and we even saw wildlife along the way. Highly recommend this company & Mikey!

Are you allowed to bring your phone for pictures?

You can bring phones. Not advisable, but you can do it.
For pictures on the river, you would be much safer to buy a few single use cameras. That will be more expensive than photos taken on your phone, but if the raft tips, you've lost a camera worth a a few bucks, as opposed to a few hundred.
