Shady walk alongside the water, watching for freshwater crocs and fish. Opening into a beautiful sandy area with the cliffs towering above. Site of the rebellion and shooting of the police officer in charge of the indigenous captives and a gun fight lasting for a...More

While the gorge is nice the walks are disappointing and poorly marked we did the big walk and it was really average with hardly and markers. The camp is over priced 12.50 per person per night the most expensive national park we have had that...More

No visitor to this region of the Kimberley should miss this amazingly beautiful, isolated location. The Devonian Reef range with its spectacular, majestic gorges, river & pools, were definitely a highlight of our journey.

Campsite quite small and of course dusty in the dry but good facilities and access to showers and toilets. Walk into gorge good with lots of crocs at close range and wonderful sunset spot!

This Gorge was so different to most of them. Sandstone and so old and beautiful. Lots of crocodiles lazing around. Amazing place.

Windjana Gorge glows red in the evening and hides a moonlit river of crocs, owls and insects. The gorge walk next morning is very enjoyable and easy. Beach tracks beside the etched cliffs of what was once a reef in the Denovian period. Lovely stretches...More

We enjoyed walking the 7 km return trail with plenty of opportunity to see freshwater crocodile up close, interesting limestone features, fossils and water features. While the Gorge is not as towering as others in the Kimberleys, it was still impressive. One comment about park...More

Visited here on a Kimberley Wild tour. Great gorge with towering walls. The waters revealed plenty of freshies. Camp site facilities are ok as well.
