Returned recently to see the Old Man and the Mermaid after going two years ago to see The Secret Garden. Once again, we were stunned by the level of artistry and theater put on by this small family business. Quality family entertainment (especially secular) and amazing talent such as this is so very rare in our modern society. Make sure... More

The history of this fabulous showcase is right here in Colorado Springs. Their puppets are magnificent. I wish they still had their cloud babies and other characters available. I loved adding them to my collections

It isn't for everyone, I wasn't all that hot on the idea of going to a puppet show in the beginning, but after that first show that I saw a few years ago I have been back half a dozen times. The wife and I went as saw Tom Sawyer last summer and it was nothing short of fantastic! I... More

We have just seen 'A Christmas Carol' at the Simpich Theatre and marvel at the quality and talent that we witnessed. The distressing thing is that we have lived here for over 50 years and were not even aware of this quaint little theatre on the west side. Rest assured, we will not miss any more. The talent of David... More

As locals, we try to make the various Simpich Shows that are held throughout the year. But, the museum-like showcase is worth a visit, especially if you are a Simpich fan. Highly Recommended.

What an amazing place! Handmade marionettes, uniquely adapted scripts and stage settings, and one man who does it all! Although the scripts can be a bit dark and trend toward the religious side, it's worth going at least once. It is unique family entertainment. Shows are fairly long, so I wouldn't recommend bringing very young children. Also, be sure to... More

David Simpich and his marionettes are amazing! He is an incredibly talented artist and the marionettes are exquisite. We had no idea what to expect but even the reluctant guys in our group enjoyed the performance of Oliver Twist. Our group was all over 55 but there were lots of children in the audience and they seemed to enjoy it... More

The artistry behind the show and talent to execute it so well is truly amazing. The museum of dolls is well-done, but the show was what we enjoyed the most. They recommend the show for children over 6 years old. Our 4 and 5 year old boys did okay, but the recommendation is there for a reason as the show... More

First off, I will admit, this kind of thing might not appeal to everyone. I wasn't too sure myself before going. The doll museum and Simpich family history is interesting, but the real attraction is the marionette show by David Simpich, the son of the doll makers. The shows are essentially a one-man show, with David doing all the puppetry,... More

We stumbled upon this really interesting family-run place by chance. This place is an art gallery, marionette/puppet/doll museum and theater. We saw Pilgrim's Progress, which was a one-man marionette puppet show: FANTASTIC! It was $12/person for a Wednesday matinee. The engaging storytelling, the intricate artistry of the set and puppets, and the many varied voices all contributed to a really... More
