My daughters and I attempted to call this place for details, but kept getting a message. Therefore we stopped by while we were out for the day. This is a private place, but the guard allowed us an hour pass to visit the book shop,...More

Glen Eyrie setting is striking and the castle is interesting, especially the "mod cons" that Gen. Palmer thought up and added to his home, like a built-in vacuum system (who knew they had such things back then??) and a fire hose system also in the...More

Very cool castle built by an extremely wealthy man. You can book a room or take a tour. Well worth the time if you are in the area.

The Glen Eyrie castle and grounds are spectacular but the tour we took was rather poor. Our tour guide had no control over the 25 or so people on the tour and they were just randomly wandering around, touching things and talking to each other...More

Beautiful grounds that you can walk around on and the staff was very friendly. Had some great views and a nice stream runs through the property. They even have a rose garden that will be lovely later in the summer.

A lovely setting for a delicious tea. Since you can get two different teas per table, we chose both the Glen Eyrie black tea and a green tea. The Glen Eyrie blend was so good that we stopped at the bookstore to get some to...More

You will need to call to schedule your time at Glen Eyrie but it is totally worth it because it is just not what you would expect to see in Colorado! A popular venue for weddings, photo ops, conferences and special events, this castle lies...More

Yes you can drive around, with a limited access pass, which they're quite strict about. It's worth it to ask if you can stop in the bookstore.
Do they have stairs available to get to the rooms if staying overnight.
