We got all of our souvenirs at the local shops. We went exploring early in the morning before most shops opened (most open at 10am), but was able to peek inside some very unique stores. Cute lil downtown.

Nice early evening stroll. Browse shops, pop into some of the restaurants, etc. The weather was nice when we were there and just enjoyed an hour or so looking through some of the shops.

Great little street of shops. You can find anything there! Nice little restaurants and specialty foot shops.

This part of Colorado Springs is like an old town revisited. Dining options are many, the farmer's market on Saturdays may be the region's best, and shoppers will find eclectic choices to contemplate.

This is a very cute area, with fun shopping in the historic buildings. They also have several restaurants, and it's all very walkable.

I am older so altitude was a problem for me...even though I don't have chest issues, breathing was hard for me. My family enjoyed the shopping experience.

The two previous answers cover the situation except to say that there are some really good off the beaten path restaurants in the "Old" City.

Sorry for the delay in response, I have been away. Old Colorado City business hours vary as noted by some of the other responses. The best bet is to call ahead or check the merchants website but most shops open between 10am... More
