This is a 1891 silver mine that is being restored and open- free to see. It has rock and mineral collecting, old buildings, its own museum and mine buildings. We are working on opening the underground for tours and continuing to restore several old structures.The 1891 tunnel was opened in June 2014 and is currently undergoing restoration for the upcoming public opening. Great place to stop and get a feeling for what a miner's life might have been like. Great views, interesting relics of era and an opportunity to tour the mine itself.

This is a MUST when we n the Creede area! Amazing views, friendly staff, amazing mine, beautiful and affordable jewelry! We had a great time! A little tricky driving up there and back down but certainly worth the time!
