Pretty Scenery, Aspen Trees are Awesomely Beautiful and Magnificently Dense, Road is bumpy but passible. Be ready for a long ride. It shortened our distance from Crested Butte to Montrose considerably. Driving at night might be dicy.

Don't miss going over this pass. Have your camera, phone, or tablet ready for some incredible photos. Some of the Aspen trees were even starting to change. A true feast for the senses!!!!!

There are many Aspen stands along the pass. During late September they are all changing color. Glorious. The pass is dirt but easily traversed by a standard car. Drive Kebler pass as part of the West Elk Loop and you won't be disappointed.

We took this road heading out of Crested Butte and were thrilled with the drive! The Aspens are beautiful and it much better then taking a main highway!

Our group of eight women hiked the Kebler Pass between Aspen and Created Butte. Eleven miles of gorgeous wild flowers and trails across and along streams. The gradual ascent is a gain of several thousand feet and the summit is (I think) 12,400 feet. The...More

Very picturesque drive over a mountain pass just outside of Crested Butte. Aspen trees at the summit were outstanding and should provide wonderful viewing in early to mid September.
