While on a trip to Colorado my family and I visited the Mollie Kathleen Mine in Cripple Creek. When we pulled up I wasn't sure what to expect - but don't let the outward appearance fool you! Also, don't get scared off by the tiny...More

Cheaked out this place on our last day in Cripple Creek. It was a very good tour. The guide was a miner himself. The elevators going down into the mine, you get close and personal. Would difinately return.

First of all, it's a little chilly down there so take a jacket! I was happy I had a blanket in my car, that I wrapped up in. This was an excellent tour of the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine! The guide was well informed and...More

This was a great tour. We went here with 3 teenagers and they were fully engaged. It was awesome to see how the 'old' equipment really worked and our guide, Kelly, was very knowledgable and funny. It's hard to believe our forefathers worked in conditions...More

The cage that takes you to the bottom of the mine is very very small, there were 3 of us in it, tightly packed, not a good feel if you're claustrophobic . We all found it very interesting and well worth the tight fit. Wear...More

I'm so glad we did this tour. Our guide was awesome and I'm sorry I can't remember his name (he and his family had worked in the mines, so had great stories and information). I was a little worried we'd be claustrophobic but didn't feel...More

Definitely worth the time to take the tour into the gold mine and learn all about this little business!! There’s also a large open mine basically right behind this underground mine that I recommend driving to after the underground mine tour!! Stephen was a fantastic...More

We had a great tour/miner guide Steve. He packed as much as he possibly could into our hour. Information and little fun comments all the way. The 1000 feet underground had me a little apprehensive at first, but it's a fast 2 minutes. A little...More

The tour was very informative in the History of the mine. We had a lot of loud demonstrators of how they drilled holes to make tunnels. Overall it was worth the trip down 1000 feet to see the mine. We have a whole lot of...More

You will enter and exit the mine by an authentic mine elevator. It is small and you will be packed in like sardines. I'm not exaggerating. It's okay though, because the ascent and descent are quick. Once in the mine you... More
