The rain intervened with some of my plans. There are lots of sights to see in this small town. History, fun play at the casinos, enjoyable walks. I cannot wait to return.

Several years ago I had seen an interesting photo taken in Cripple Creek of an old wooden mining structure. I liked the name of the town and read about an historic hospital turned hotel that also sounded intriguing! We don't gamble, but many visitors to...More

I am so happy to see that there is not just gambling in Cripple Creek. I've been coming here since I was a kid and now bringing my grandchildren. The donkeys have always been part of the history with this town and I'm glad they...More

Not really a casino person, so can't really comment on that, but a cute, historical mountain town with nice little shops for browsing, restaurants, free-roaming donkeys, and lovely small-town festivals like Donkey Derby Days. Can be crowded, especially over weekends and holidays, and the casinos...More

Cute little town in the beautiful mountains. Casinos line a main street. Good for couple both young & old .

If your goal is a casino filled town, this is your place. Otherwise a quick pass through is probably enough.

Cripple Creek is an old mining town that still has a lot of the old feel and charm of that era. The gambling casinos do take some of the flavor away but most of the old buildings are still there. Main street has a few...More

This is a cool little town to spend some time in. There are several shops. An old time soda fountain. Just north of town there is the Mollie Kathleen Mine which gives tours and shows you the inside and workings of an old time mine....More

Yes, all the casinos have the latest modern slots and are ticket based. But Bronco Billy's still has a few coin payout machines.

We've been visiting that area for many years. The elevation of Cripple Creek is over 9,000 feet. Snow may be expected most anytime during the Fall, Winter, or Spring.
