We went to this area a couple of times on our visit to Denver. There are so many great restaurants and little shops there. A definite must-see if you're in the area.

Larimer Square is an area with great restaurants and shops. The area hosts a free food tasting in July. There were colorful flags and lights draped across the street which added to the inviting atmosphere of the area.

This is one of the best shopping areas in Denver. There is something for everyone. The shops are all so nice and well-kept. They are also very modern and eclectic, and not overrun with typical "souvenir" and t-shirt shops, which is a welcome change. Most...More

City leaders went to great lengths to spruce up this block with the usual urban upgrade that's seen in most American cities. The result is it attracts a lot of higher-end (and pseudo higher-end) restaurants and a fairly devoted following. It's a success from all...More

The few blocks next to Writers' Square, just to the west of the end of the 16th St. Mall is where Denver began. It is considerably cleaned up from Jack Kerouac's day. The weekend following our visit an international slow food festival was being held....More

Across from Auraria Higher Education Center this area anchored the renewal of nearly abandoned areas. My wife and I found our antique wedding rings here three+ decades ago and The Market was the go to deli downtown. We visit each time we return to Denver....More

I parked near by and toured on foot ~ loved the independent retailers with cool products. Victoriana Estate Jewelry was a big favorite ~ great service, so knowledgable and fun. What a great selection!

Hi, I personally did not travel with my dog, but there were many places that dogs were permitted inside the shops and restaurants. Water bowls for dogs were outside at many places as well. Hope this helps!
